The lighthouse represent the light(in this case the projection of light that the camera captures). The light is man-made just like the lighthouse(which symbolizes man-made cultures and places around the world. The ocean represents the large-scale area in which the all the cultures coexist. The hand is pretty straight forward( It is us capturing that light that we so ambitiously seek to deliver.
